NS2000 & Multistream

Hello, anyone tested Novelsat NS2000 demodulator with DVB-S2 Multistream transponders? I had a chance to test such receiver in a TV studio, thanks to kindness of one friend working there. When I attempted tuning italian RAI frequencies at 5 West, I was totally unable to lock any signal. Obviously I used well known PLS 16416, but my friend told me they use another value, and inserting his value signal was perfectly locked. I did not understand. Back to home, I made test with my TBS5925, and discovered that such value is for Gold Mode instead of Root Mode. So, maybe NS2000 is capable to recognize only Gold Mode, and not Root Mode? Anyone could confirm or explain better? Thanks.

@Feedman: don t forget the ACM license for NS2000.
It works with gold code only. But how will you manage the different streams ? 1,2 ,3,4...
the Novelsat receiver is not exactly the best way for that kind of streams I think.
@stpierre, les golden code ne sont pas la question je pense, ils sont dispo partout mais il n'a pas tord car certains code que nous utilisons ne sont pas ceux reellement affectés par l'operateur, ne le demandez pas pourquoi ni comment ça marche quand même, mes competences s arretent là mais mes propos peuvent être confirmés'par un autre membre de ce forum, même si je n'ai nullement besoin d'une confirmation d'autrui.

Hello Feedsat, no problem in streams managing. After some tests, I understood how to set it correctly. Choose the same *** value in Begin and End fields in Channel you want to use (Channel 1 or Channel 2). These two fields have 00 and 0F as default values. If you want to get just, for example, Stream 2, you must enter 02 in both fields. The same is, say, for Stream 11, value would be 0B. Using this method, you can filter each single Stream, and select specific one and sent to ASI out all services in it. I tested this, and it perfectly works. The problem is Root Code. I don't know if that box has ACM license, I could ask to them and maybe test it again soon. What must I check? So, if no ACM license, maybe no Root mode? Only Gold? Could you please explain better this problem? If so, do you know if ACM license would enables Root mode? As you know, Root code seems easiest to find in many web sites and forums than Gold Code. Thank you very much for your help.

There are no common point between ACM and root mode, the ACM license will not give you a root code access mode, unfortunately.
You can easily check if you have the acm license, if you set it has enable and get an error message: the license is not available in this NS2000.
This is just my own experience, maybe there is also a root mode , you can ask novelsat themselves to fix it for sure.

So, if I understand, this Novelsat demodulator is not able to manage Root Code, only Gold. Bad luck. As for ACM license, I will check when I have the chance to operate again on that box. Which benefit from ACM mode? Which channels or feeds you can watch in addition? Also, any connection between Root and Gold? Say, if I have Root Code, is it possible to find Gold Code from that? Thanks.
