WAVES STB supports MPEG-1, 2, 4 and is suited for:
IP-Video Broadcasting: live TV, satellite TV, Pay per view
IP-Video on Demand. IP-Set Top Boxes allow the Customer to access the content list and play movies using the typical DVD controls (play, pause, fast rewind, fast forward, etc.)
Internet browsing on the TV
Music on demand
Protection against unauthorized copy is provided. Secure transactions are provided by ISO 7810/7816 Smart Card.
Telsey's Streaming IP STB is designed to deliver video services such as IP-Television, Video on Demand, Internet on TV, E-mail to residential customers; users can enjoy "DVD" audio/video quality through a 16:9 screen and Home Theatre system AC3 with S/PDIF digital audio output. Furthermore, end users can connect a VCR to the STB and play/record videos without disconnecting the TV set.
